ABOUT THE CAST


Photobucket ERIC BARVINCHAK (Understudy) is a native of the Pittsburgh area and graduate of Pine Richland High-School and CCAC South Campus. His work includes hair modeling and TV acting, and a number of shows around Pittsburgh, the most recent being Danny Zuko in Grease at McKeesport Little Theatre. He was also a student of the Act One Theatre School in his high school years. Other notable plays and musicals performed in are Hamlet, Getting Out, See How They Run and Inspecting Carol. He has performed twice in Into The Woods where he portrayed Cinderella’s Prince and The Wolf. Other roles include Applegate in Damn Yankees, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, and Theodore Lawrence The Third in Little Women. Eric recently worked on the 2007 Spike TV series (filmed in Pittsburgh) “The Kill Point” where in he served as both stand in and photography double for the villain character Mr. Pig.

Photobucket KRISTIN S. BUCCILLI (Understudy) has performed in many musicals, plays, and concerts over the last 15 years. Ms. Buccilli was last seen as the Female Blues Soloist in Leonard Bernstein's Mass with the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. Some of her favorite performances include: The Volunteer in the National Tour of A Stoop on Orchard Street; Mama in Once on this Island; and Hortense in The Boyfriend. Kristin is currently putting together a jazz/blues ensemble and hopes to be recording soon. She is very delighted to be working on this show and hopes everyone has as good of a time with it as she does.

Photobucket NICOLE CAPEZIO-WATSON (Angelina DeMedio) began acting at a young age and has since graced the stages of South Park Children's Theatre (Charlotte's Web and The Emperor's New Clothes), CCAC Theatre (It's a Wonderful Life and Gypsy), South Park High School (favorites include Annie, Grease and Clue), and Clarion University Theatre. At 17, she joined McCaffery Mysteries Dinner Theatre. It wasn't long before she was cast as Maria Cavatelli in the PittsburghJoey and Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding. Nicole is a 2003 graduate of South Park High School and a 2007 graduate of Clarion University, where she recently performed the role of Rosse in Macbeth. Last summer, Nicole played the duel role of Isobel/Carmilla, in the indie-horror film "Carmilla's Kiss." The Pittsburgh-based film has been accepted into the New York Independant Film Festival Feb 28- March 6, 2008. Nicole resides in Pittsburgh with her husband, Sean and beautiful baby girl, Charlotte Marie.

Photobucket BRIANA DOWNS (Francesca DeMedio) has been performing for over a decade. Some of her favorites roles are Shelia in The Boys Next Door, Maggie Sanders in Lend Me a Tenor, and Louise Maske in, The Underpants. Some of her other favorite roles are Janet Weiss in, The Rocky Horror Show,” with Stage Right, Angie Graziano in, Breaking Legs, with The Theatre Factory and Frenchy in, Grease, at Apple Hill Playhouse. Musicals, Comedies, Shakespeare and Children’s Theatre have kept Briana going for all these years. Other roles include Dolly in, The Threepenny Opera, at Penn Avenue Theatre, Ariel in, The Tempest, with Timespace Theatre, Florinda in, Into the Woods, with The Theatre Factory, Babe in Crimes of the Heart and Kate Dennis in, Love, Sex and the I.R.S, at Apple Hill Playhouse, various roles in, Play It Again Sam, with Penn Avenue Theatre and Oliver!, with Apollo Community Theatre and The Theatre Factory. Briana’s favorite Children’s Theatre shows are Magic Theatre 1, 2, 3 and The Best of Magic Theatre, Monster in the Closet, The Dark Castle, The Flying Trunk, Beauty and the Beast and The Land of the Dragon. Briana has also performed in, The Vagina Monologues, at Point Park University. Briana is a graduate of Point Park University where she received her BA in Acting and is currently a Musical Theatre and Acting teacher with Dance Etc.

Photobucket SHAWN M. HOWLAND (Understudy) was lucky enough to grow up backstage in a handful of theatres in Connecticut due to his parents’ involvement and was bitten by the theatre bug at a very early age. Shawn has been seen in this area playing such roles as Zophar in J.B. and Professor Willard in Our Town, both at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. One of his favorite roles was playing Gene in Breast Men also at Seton Hill University. Shawn can more commonly be NOT seen behind the scenes working the technical side of things as a sound designer, light designer or stage manager. With more years of dance training behind him than he cares to count, he is excited to return to the performance side of things in this show.

aaron AARON KLEIBER (Donnie Brascetti) is a Pittsburgh native and has been performing for over 10 years in sketch comedy, improv comedy, and short films. Aaron is most notably known for his starring roles in the independent features, Captain Blasto, shot entirely in Pittsburgh, in which he also produced and co-wrote and A Great Disturbance, the Star Wars convention mockumentary. Aaron has also trained with Second City and the Upright Citizens Brigade for Improv Comedy.

Photobucket BILLY D. MARTIN (Marion “Ice Pick” Del Guzo) is a native to Pittsburgh, and has been working in theater and film for the last seven years. His favorite theatrical roles include playing Tony in Tony ‘N Tina’s Wedding, Norm in Cheers, and Dallas in The Outsiders. His film credits include, “The Redsin Tower,” and “Speilburgh.” Billy is also an accomplished hip hop artist as a member of the Pittsburgh-based hip hop group, “Hillsville.” He has received national airplay and has opened for such headliners as The Ying Yang Twins, Bun B, and David Banner. When not acting, Billy is a fulltime hairdresser. He attended Empire Beauty School and while attending school he competed in national hair shows and competitions.

Photobucket MAGGIE MAYER (Patricia Van Patten) is originally from the small town of Oil City, PA. She currently holds 3/4 of a BFA in Acting from Clarion and Point Park Universities. Some of her favorite roles have included Female Greek Chorus in How I Learned to Drive, Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera and Melissa in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. She was most recently seen this summer as Tyler in the Red Barn Theater's production of Some Girls and as Sunny Frietag in Apple Hill Playhouse's production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo.

Photobucket MICHAEL E. MOATS (Alphonse "Big Al" DeMedio) is a graduate from Clarion University with a BFA in Theatre. He was the Founder and Artistic Director of Penn Avenue Theatre from 1998 to 2002. He acted in several audience interactive comedies including; Tony 'N Tina's Wedding, Grandma Sylvia's Funeral, and Class Reunion. He has been a member of many Improvisational Comedy Troupes, including; The Susquehanna Hat Company, The High Street Players, Mission 50, The Italian Sausages Commedia Dell'arte Troupe and The IC Light Improv Comedy All-Stars. Some of Michael's favorite stage appearances include; Aldo in Italian American Reconciliation, Bernie Litko in Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Mike in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), and Danny in Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.

Photobucket KATE NEUBERT-LECHNER (Understudy) is new to the Pittsburgh area, having just moved here from New York City. While in New York, she made several cabaret performances at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, as well as appearing as Janet in The Rocky Horror Show. She is a graduate of Gannon University, with a B.A. in Theatre and Communications Arts and also attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music as a Musical Theatre Major. In addition to performing, she has spent a lot of time behind the scenes as a choreographer, director and Youtheatre teacher. Her favorite roles include Sheila Bryant in A Chorus Line, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, & The Laramie Project.


Photobucket IAN PISARCIK (Understudy) is a young actor from South Park, PA. He was active in the SPHS drama club sponsored by Michael Moats. His favorite roles include Pontius Pilate in the Kelly award winning Jesus Christ Superstar and Charlemagne in Pippin. Ian was also active in the South Park Children's Theatre. Currently Ian is an engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a part time actor, but he'll probably still have to keep his normal job.

Photobucket  KALEIGH PODGORSKI (Understudy) is a senior at South Park High School. She is very active in the South Park High School Drama Club where she holds the Vice President position. Some of her favorite roles include: Claudia Procula in the Gene Kelly Award Winning Jesus Christ Superstar, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Mattie in Stage Door, and Yente in Fiddler on the Roof. Kaleigh would like to thank her fellow cast members for making this show one to remember.

RAMSEY (Understudy) – Katya has a B.A. in theatre performance and theatre design from Seton Hill University and has been acting, directing and designing in the Pittsburgh area for the past ten years. Some of her favorite credits include directing The Boys Next Door at Apple Hill Playhouse and The Day Hell Got Hotter for the Pittsburgh New Works Festival as well as performing the roles of Elaine in Nightwatch and Martha in A Piece of My Heart. She is thrilled to finally be working with Mike again as well as the rest of the cast. She thanks her parents for their support, her husband for his understanding and her son for showing her what life is really all about.

Photobucket STEPHEN SANTA (Gino Caruso, Jr.) is thrilled to be performing in this exciting new production! A Pittsburgh native, he has performed with the Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, South Park Theatre, The Old School House Players, Little Lake Theatre and the Terra Nova Theatre Group. His favorite roles include Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Bobby in Crazy for You, The Baker in Into the Woods, Curly in Oklahoma!, Harold the Dog in Bunnicula the Musical and Matthew in All The Great Books (Abridged) for which he received an honorable mention for best supporting actor of 2007 in the Observer Reporter. Photobucket ERICKA SKIRPAN (Margaret "Ma" DeMedio) likes long walks on the beach, dogs, and mismatched socks. She's been in theater over 10 years and it's driven her as crazy as it has been fun. Most recently, she returned from Hong Kong where she was teaching school children to recite Shakespeare and play Red Light, Green Light. Once upon a time, the University of Toronto handed her an Honours Bachelors of Arts in Drama and they've been regretting it ever since! She then went on to run a theatre company in Canada, producing 6 most successful shows until the Canadian government decided she was a security threat and she, along with her crazy theatre ideas, was deported! Her stage roles have included Miranda in The Tempest, Pozzo in Waiting for Godot, Eulalie Shinn in The Music Man and Polonius in New York Stage and Film's Hamlet. She'd like to thank her mother, Suzanne and her father, Michael for all their love and support, and apologize for crashing the car into a farmhouse when she was 16.


Photobucket JERRY SUMMERS (Michael "Father Mike" DeMarco) attended the Studio Arena Theater School in Buffalo, New York, and trained under Carnegie Mellon’s Tony McKay at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. His most recent roles include Rev. Samuel Parris in the Prime Stage production of The Crucible, Roger Chillingworth in The Scarlet Letter for Open Stage, and Matthew Harrison Brady in Inherit the Wind for Prime Stage. Jerry has been seen in a wide variety of other stage productions throughout the Pittsburgh area including: Mr. Jaggers in the Prime Stage production of Great Expectations, Sergeant Toomey in Neil Simons Biloxi Blues at Little Lake (for which he was named Best Suburban Actor for 2006 by the Post Gazette), Doc in Come Back, Little Sheba at McKeesport Little Theatre, the German electrician, Schuppanzigh, in Black Comedy at Open Stage, and a variety of other characters. Jerry is a member of the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and works as a Production Manger for a group of 14 area radio stations in and around Pittsburgh. He is also active in free-lance voiceover work for both radio and television on a national basis.
